Cualquier v. Cualquiera ?

Can someone please help to define the difference between these two words? I read somewhere that one is to be used before a noun and the other is to be used after a noun. It would be very helpful if someone could help me with where and how to use these words corretly . Thank You, gracias.

I bet your question comes up all the time and it has been answered a thousand times, but "cualquier" comes before any word, while "cualquiera" (anyone) does not require another sentence.

To me, one looks like the infinative and one looks like the imperfect subjunctive.

Can you imagine how pleased I will feel if I am right !

Before the noun you use "cualquier". After the noun you use "cualquiera
