Can this mean "what a catch!" like when you catch a fish? Can it be figurative for what a catch, like wow that is great? Gracias.

I have to disagree Heidita, I've seen this phrase before... I'm going to infer it's street slang... kind of like my favorite "¿Qué es la que hay?" - DJ_Huero, May 12, 2011

Actually, I believe I've heard this, and my answer is yes. It's an expression almost literally saying, "what a catch!"

What fishing!

. . .doesn't make much sense in English either, apart from its rather limited literal meaning.

. . .it could be a reference to picking up girls in bars.

The context is that our dictionary lists pesca (noun) as 1. fishing. 2. catch. So I figure "What a catch". But I don't know.

As per Heidita's answer. Translating the idiom doesn't work. - Gekkosan, May 11, 2011
The problem is, I've seen it. So it must be street slang... - DJ_Huero, May 12, 2011
