Noun translation of "Comercial"

Noun translation of "Comercial"

I have seen the word Comercial used to describe a person's profession. I have tried the translator and it doesn't come up with any noun translations.

I'm guessing it means a buyer/trader/stockbroker or something like that.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Alan

A "comerciante" is a noun that means "merchant"; "comercial" is also a noun for ad, as in 'TV advertisement, a commercial. (El nuevo [anuncio] comercial de Burger King es genial!- The new ad/commercial for Burger King is brilliant!)

Thanks for the reply. So do you think that it would be better translated as merchant in terms of a profession? The reason I ask is because I have a book which has Comercial listed as a profession - AlanFielding, May 11, 2011
Interesting. Which book is it? Is it from any particular Spanish-speaking country? - 002067fe, May 11, 2011
