Could you please answer me what is the difference between “Felicidades” and “Enhorabuena”? Both mean the same – congratulations, but as I have noticed „Felicidades” is used more often. I’m a bit confused.rolleyes Thank you.

We use more felicidades, above all to congratulate somebody, we use always in birthdays and things like that. We use enhorabuena when you want to congratulate somebody if he/she is promoted, for example, but you can use both generally... regards from Madrid...

That does clear things up a bit. Is this true for most other Spanish speaking countries as well? - Nicole-B, May 11, 2011

The choice of usage between the two varies from one country to the next, but both are understood - 005faa61, May 11, 2011
