Has anyone tried "Zumba"?
I have been hearing about an exercise program that incorporates three of my favorite things, fitness, Latin music and Spanish. The program is called Zumba and has been around for about ten years.
I was wondering if anyone has tried it and how it rates as a workout, the use of Latin music and dance moves and also, the amount of Spanish that is used during the instruction?
I was ready to click "add to cart" but thought I would check with my friends here first.
Thanks for any advice in advance! ![]()

I have a friend who does it and she loves it
. She says that it's really good fun. Another friend said that she was so hot after it that her face was glowing bright red for hours
.
Have you looked it up on youtube? I quite like watching the videos on there
. This one is particularly good.
I hope you enjoy it if you do go ahead and try it!

I really think you should attend the class with her Gary. It will strengthen your core muscles and improve your diving abilities. ![]()
I would like to take an informal vote for how many of us want to see a video of our own Yeser performing the Latin dance moves of a Zumba class

Hi Nicole,
I've tried it through buying a whole set of DVD's since I don't have enough time to go to the gym and attend classes. Every time I try I end up missing classes so I decided to try it out in the privacy of my home
. I have attended one trial lesson after buying them though and found that that particular instructor (who is also an allround latin dance instructor) mixed Zumba up with her own moves. They were not as easy to follow if you have no latin dance experience (the DVD's break down every step minutely) but they were very feminine and fun
.
The exercises on the DVD's are fun and I can keep up with them. It really does work because I've had several comments that I looked slimmer. The music that is used is not what I know as regular latin music, it's music that is adapted for the DVD's. So to my taste it's an "aerobics version" of latin music. The lyrics refer to zumba and exercizing a lot and have sort of similar beats. My DVD's are English spoken so the use of Spanish is restricted to the lyrics of the music but perhaps there is an option to watch the DVD's in Spanish. I haven't looked into that.
If I were to choose between "regular" workouts and Zumba I would definitely prefer Zumba
.
Hell I don't give a care bout that... yo solo quisiera perrear con esa mujer fina en naranja allí por abajo. jaja! mmmmm ![]()
(I may check it out... but I already dance alot of those...)
Our own Hot ChickCD Cassandra would be the one to ask about that, I know she is into it. My wife is going for her first session this Saturday.
My friend had this, she liked it but I personally haven't tried it myself. ![]()
