Paciente = patient

Ella es paciente - She is patient.

El es paciente - He is patient.

No somos pacientes - We are not patient

If you want the meaning of the Spanish adjective paciente, the English adjective patient is very close.

pa·tient? ?

1. to have the quality of being patient, To bear provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.

2. to have an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay: to be patient with a slow learner.

3. to show quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence: to work patiently.

  1. adj. Que tiene paciencia.

  2. adj. Fil. Se dice del sujeto que recibe o padece la acción del agente. U. t. c. s. m.

If you go to the doctor and you have to wait long time,you need to be very patient. Each time you wait or keep relax in a hard condition, like in the middle of a disscution, you are very patient.
