Sentence game! - Travel

8

I want people to find as many sentences as possible that are about traveling.

Rules:

  • The sentence has to be longer than 6 words.
  • The sentence has to be shorter than 21 words.
  • You have to write it in English and Spanish.
  • Nothing offensive please.

I would appreciate it if pictures were included!

Okay, fire away!!! If this turns out good then I might do more of them but for different subjects!

smile Hanna

I like to be at home yet it's good to get away sometimes.

Me gusta estar en casa; sin embargo, también es bueno salir a veces.

I like to travel; I have visited some fifty countries.

Tengo gusto de viajar; He visitado unos cincuenta países.

Photobucket

La Sagrada Familia ( Barcelona)

I became "gaudi-ised" after seeing this.

I believe it should be *Mí esposa y yo hemos sido al mar del caribe...* - DJ_Huero, May 16, 2011
Yeser, please correct your posts according to DJ_Huero, Thanks! - Destroyed99, May 17, 2011

The pool is full on an afternoon in May, but not early morning, or colder months; I did not take the picture so I do not know which the circumstance is. - Stadt, May 9, 2011

Thanks people! Sorry, if someone gets their spelling wrong I can't correct them because I can't edit, an I don't know much Spanish myself, I meant this a a fun thread and I didn't know how to do this properly. I am happy if someone with editing controls does the editing though. I can't edit because I need 2k reputation and I have a long way before then!

Actually, the corrections are made in the comments, the way that whit1356 has done on one above, and it is up to the poster to do the actual edit. Beginners like myself like a little reassurance that what we are doing is working. Don't worry too much... - Stadt, May 9, 2011
'''it is a fun thread. :-) - Stadt, May 9, 2011
If someone misspells then you tell them in a comment, you don't need to edit. You do need someone to correct Spanish, though. - Sabor, May 9, 2011

Yes Hannah you do and I'm sorry I didn't remember that before submitting my answer. But I wouldn't worry about it, most likely it will just be closed to further commenting.

I want to travel to Chich’en Itza, México and see “The descent of the snake god”. An illusion of light and shadow create the effect of a serpent crawling down the pyramid. This occurs March 20 and September 22.

"Dios serpiente". When the second noun is regarded as the name of the first one, the prepositios is not used. - lazarus1907, May 18, 2011
After "que" you must conjugate the verb, but "gatear" means to walk like a cat; this verb lacks the figurative uses of the English "crawl". - lazarus1907, May 18, 2011
Maybe you could use "que se extiende hasta el pie de la pirámide" or "se alarga..." - lazarus1907, May 18, 2011
¡Muchas gracias lazarus! - NickDan, May 18, 2011
