How does tabaco get translated to snuff

El pronóstico de los consumidores de tabaco es más desfavorable que el de las personas que padecen un síndrome coronario agudo pero que no fuman

The translator says that consumidores de tabaco is translated to consumers of snuff.

In context, I can see how that is correct, but why wouldn't the translator come up with consumers of tobacco? Is Heidita hidding in the translator somewhere?

Ron, I've found "rapé", "tabaco", and "tabaco en polvo" as synonyms for "snuff".

Have you ever sneezed in a snuff can?

Nope, I had asthma as a kid and had a hard enough time breathing with out making it harder with smoking, etc. - Ron_Austin, May 8, 2011
I saw those translations too and could see how you could go from tabaco en polvo to snuff, but to go from tabaco to snuff, well that must be a pretty smart translator. - Ron_Austin, May 8, 2011
