Igual de severa

Igual de severa

Severa - severe.

Ella se quedo atrás , amargada

y me escribió, igual de severa

ella dijo: "En los días que eras

un pobre sin esperanzas

me gustabas mas .."

She was left behind, bitter (and a sigh)

and she wrote to me, (equally dour)

She said "In the days wen you were

poor without hope (hopelessly poor)

I like you more (I just liked you more)

Looks to be a brilliant translation. But I wonder about "igual de severa" and how it relates to "equally dour". Gracias. I think of dour as gloomy.

Gracias.

Jeezle, I'm not sure if what you have works, but a word I recently learned that I like for "gloomy" is "fúnebre." You may already know this word, just throwin' it out there.
