I asked my Bolivian students what might be said in Spanish.

They came up with. "Yeah! and I am Cleopatra."

Any other ones Spanish or English?

In other words "no chance" Although another part of the pigs anatomy

is sometimes substituted for eye.

We have a favorite one here when there is not much chance of doing something

we say , " You have two chances ,Buckleys and none" ,it came from the early

colonial days when a convict named William Buckley escaped in order to walk back

to England , he ended up living for 40 years with a Koori tribe ,hence the expression.

I have heard this one and used it on occasions lol

''Yeah, and if that's true then I'm a monkey's uncle !''

or simply said in response to some outrageous claim or when somebody says something unbelievable ''Then I'm a monkey's uncle !'''

Another one is ''You've saved my bacon!'' = You've got me out of a sticky/difficult situation!

These are idioms we use in England but may not be understood in other English speaking countries
