Sé que en inglés es posible contar un cuento del pasado reciente en el tiempo presente para que el cuento parezca más vívido. Por ejemplo: "So, yesterday I go to the store and there is a woman with a huge nose and she asks me where the bread is."

¿Es posible en español también? ¿O se usaría el presente perfecto? (menos "haber"??)

"Ayer he ido a la tienda y hay una mujer con una nariz enorme y me ha preguntado dónde está el pan." ??

O siempre necesitas usar un verbo del tiempo pasado....?

"Ayer fui a la tienda y había una mujer con una nariz enorme y me preguntó dónde estaba el pan"?
