Is there a cure for a person with Phthisis?

Question

Patient was told by doctor that she had Tisico, which researching it is Phthisis.

Is there a cure for this disease? Is it an life threatening disease?

Patient is having chills, nausea, vomiting, diaherria and when she goes to urinate she ends up with loose watery stools at the same time she is urniating. Her pain is in the upper abdomen area. She is 21 years of age and her son is 10 months old. She has a slight cough and so does her child.
