in spanish we're studing AR verbs. One or verbs i've come accross is dar. I know dar means to give/thorw but what does dar énfases mean?

This would be dar énfasis = to emphasise

Dar énfasis ........ To emphasise.
Litterally this means to give emhpasis. "Dar" is used in many different situations idiomatically this way.
