How do I say: I got tired?
when ? get tired ? go to sleep

As the translator says "Me cansé," but because of the problematic "got" you could also say "Me puse cansado(a)" which gives a nuance of sudden action.
"Cuando estoy agotado, echo un sueño" When I am tired, I take a nap.
"Yo estaba hecho polvo, pues me puse a dormir" I was tired, so I went to sleep."
Here are some translations for the word tired:
estar agotado(a) = to be exhausted
estar hecho(a) polvo = to be tired
traerse al retortero = to be overworked
tener los huesos molidos = to be tired to the bone
Which do you want to say "I got tired. " (past tense) or "When ? get tired, I go to sleep." (capitalization added) (present tense)?
