How do you say correctly.....

The idea is for this thread to help people who know plenty of Spanish in the form of words (like me) but are struggling when placing them coherently in sentences (whilst they grapple with the rules of grammar-like me!)

For example (and my first question)... If you are asking 'stay with me?' would it be ...

¿Quedar con mi?

However, i am not entirely sure this works...all the translation tools tell me differently (google translate = Is it with me?)

If people post sentences they would like to say and people could help them out (say the correct sentence and explain where they went wrong) I think this could help out a lot of aprendices de español like myself!

Muchos Gracias!

Stay with me is an imperative sentence, an order.

Therefore you could say:

Quédate conmigo.

Conmigo is a tricky word, because of its latin origins: mecum, with me, literally, con mi.

Hi Samian,

It can be translated to permanezca conmigo, estancia conmigo or quedate conmigo. It all depends on where you are, and in which tense you want to refer it in! grin
