Confusing English Words Challenge 10
Algunas palabras en inglés pueden crear confusion en los principiantes.
Some words in English can be confusing for learners.
This one is to practice the 3 words hire - rent - lease
Both native Spanish and English speakers may answer - but write both Spanish and English sentences.
I would appreciate some help in checking the Spanish sentences.
Agradecería una cierta ayuda en la comprobación de las oraciones españolas.
I will "accept" the best effort after about a week
This is not so difficult but every attempt will get a vote.
NOTE - we need sentences in both Languages that illustrate how the the following are used.
a) Hire
b) Rent
c) Lease
Futher explanation as to the different meanings may be given.
Clue (hint)/ pista - think of cars - people and buildings.
Please do not suggest new words.

I accepted Lovely's answer because it gave more complete explantions.
Cars and buildings can be rented - hired and leased / people can only be hired.

A) Hire:
1- I hired a man to work in the factory.
- Contraté un hombre para trabajar en la fábrica.
? To hire means to pay someone money to make him do something for you.

B) Rent:
2- She is renting your house, and she'll pay the rent on the first of the month
- Ella esta alquilando su casa, y va a pagar la renta en al primero del mes.
? Rent (V): to pay money to use things that doesn't belong to you.
? Rent (N): The money you pay to use things that doesn't belong to you

C) Lease:
3- I leased my car to a company, but I can't find the lease.
- arrendo mi coche por a una empresa, pero no puedo encontrar el contrato.
? Lease (V): To give your things to someone for a specific amount of time, and receive money for that
? Lease (N): The contract in which one party gives something to someone for a specific amount of time in return for a periodic payment.
Hire (used as verb): The Williams family wanted to hire a car to use on their family holiday in Spain during the month of August
= La familia Williams queria alquilar un coche para usar en sus vacaciones en España durante el mes de agosto
Rent: (used as a noun) The landlady would usually insist that all her tenants pay the rent on time.
= La dueña, por la regla general, insistiría que todos sus inquilinos pagan el aquiler a la hora
Rent (used as a verb) The lady decided to rent (out) her house
= La señora decidió arrendar su casa
Lease (used as a noun) The solicitor explained to the tenants that the terms of their lease did not pemit them to play loud music until 4 o' clock every morning!
= ¡La abogada explicó a los inquilinos que los términos de contrato de arrendamiento no les permit a tocar música a toda volumen hasta las cuatras de la madrugada cada día!

I hired a bike from the corner store thats says "Bikes For Rent" and then leased it to a man who paid me €10 more than I paid.
Arrendé una bici a la tienda en la esquina que dice "Se Alquilan Bicicletas y después la di en contrato a un hombre quien me pago €10 más lo que yo pagé.
Quise contratar a dos trabajadores para descargar mis muebles del camión.
I wanted to hire two men to unload my furniture off the truck.
La tienda alquilará los esmóquines para las bodas y otros acontecimientos festivos.
The store will rent tuxedos for weddings and other events.
No compro mi coche, lo arriendo de una compra-venta de coches.
I'm not buying my car, I lease it from a car dealer.
