Why does the Spanishdict translator have the YO, tú, nosotros, and ellos forms for the verb llover? I thought only "it" could "rain" so llueve is the only option to use...

Llover is an "unipersonal" verb. That means that it can only be conjugated in the third person of singular:

This verb is generally used as impersonal, but there are hundreds of examples where it is used in other forms, especially in plural: llovían bombas del cielo.

You are right. I should have explained that it is impersonal just when it is used in its meaning of falling water from the sky. - LuisCache, May 2, 2011
Of course llover has other meanings appart from that one. In those meanings, it can be conjugated as the rest. - LuisCache, May 2, 2011
Ok, I never thought of those types of examples before...thanks for the clarification - chagedorn, May 2, 2011

Llover is an "unipersonal" verb. That means that it can only be conjugated in the third person of singular:

llueve, llovió, lloverá, llovía...

It is the same in English. You can´t say: I rain, you rain, he rains...

You can only say: It rains, it rained, it will rain...

Can you not rain love on your boyfriend?

Can an army not rain bullets on the enemy?

Conjugations of Llover may not be as common as with other verbs, but it's still a verb.
