Bin Laden Dead

The 911 mastermind is dead. We had to do it.

Any thoughts?

Due to a major CIA military covert operation. A turning point in global terrorism.

This is excellent news! - 005faa61, May 1, 2011
It's weird how we call him a mastermind as it sounds so complimentary - dewclaw, May 3, 2011

May I make a comment as follows:

Hopefully the unstoppable movement, by the peoples of the mainly Islamic and Arabic, countries for more liberal societies and now the death of Bin Laden will lead to a situation where those people do not feel threatened and will therefore not be so intent on world disruption.

I hope now that the moderate Muslims will be able to express themselves without fear of reprisal and move towards a more peaceful relationship with the rest of the world.

They learned from textbooks in school that there will be no peace until the jews have been extirminated. - EL_MAG0, May 1, 2011
dear "amor - y - paz!!! "it is good for all of us not to prejudice about those about whom we donot know correctly. I saw their Textbooks and there is none of whay you are talking about. Lying make man dishonest. - je2010, May 2, 2011
Sorry, je, but I believe Amor is telling the truth. Political correctness is not a safe response. And it is not nice to call someone a liar just because you disagree with them. - NancyGrace, May 2, 2011
Hmmm... I just hope an American poos on his corpse. Karma! ;-P - DJ_Huero, May 2, 2011
BUT, indeed Ian, very well said... I hope for a greater freedom for all now that we have removed that scum of the earth. - DJ_Huero, May 2, 2011

I am quite happy that Osama bin Laden has finally paid the ultimate price for his unthinkable actions that caused so much suffering to so many people.

We need to thank the Special Forces, who will by necessity be nameless, for their bravery and courage in what had to be a very difficult mission.

Let’s all hope that the distorted minds of the terror groups do not try and retaliate to avenge the death of the initial mastermind of al Qaeda.

I'm thinking of several friends who have lost loved ones in the World Trade Center and also in the field in Pennsylvania on that horrible day. I am also thinking of all those I don't personally know who lost loved ones in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington on September 11, 2001.

I pray that this brings them just a small sense of justice and relief, although I know nothing can replace what has been taken from them.

O M G! I just heard this incredible news while chatting with Yesse007.

I am really hesitant to celebrate the death of any human being; however, this is certainly a time to feel hope....hope that the world will be more at peace.

I agree with Ian:

I hope now that the moderate Muslims will be able to express themselves without fear of reprisal and move towards a more peaceful relationship with the rest of the world.

I'm going to copy this quote from my cousin:

"So the girl married her prince, and now the bad guy is dead. It's been a real Disney week here on earth!" wink

hi friends,

One day we all "heared" that someone called "Bin Ladan" attacked the Twins Building.

Another day we "Heared" that this Bin Ladan was a radical Muslim and it is told that All Mulims are like. interestingly, these muslems are accidently enemies for Isreal and their country also accidently is full of oil.

One another day we "heard" Saddam (in Iraq) has mass masacaring guns and nuclear missles that have to be down.

Next day we "heard" all these information were uncertain, but Invaders to Iraq do not like to leave this country soon. thay want to stay because of security!!! of this country!!!

One day thay say that the so called Bin Ladan is killed by American (X-friend of Bin Ladan) government and army.

Hey! I think the next day we probably will heat that another frontline for western army is opening in Libia and it is needed that american army decamp to this new land of oil.

Ding dong the witch is dead. The wicked witch is dead. Then what happend? They met another witch. Unfortunately this world is still full of many people having evil intentions :(.

As for me, I will abide in the truth, peace and love. It is a good thing that many more of us believe in Love. We will prevail against the enemy.

                          Amor y paz

It remains to be seen how this will play out. I expect there will be some increase in violence by his followers, but will the movement lose any of it's power. We'll see.

We need to be very careful now. Yes, fantastic news, the leader and mastermind of a wide-spread terrorist network is dead. However, we shouldn't openly celebrate.

In my opinion, groups of people waving American flags and chanting USA, USA in Washington DC is not the way to achieve our goal. That is the way many of the more radical Islamic countries 'celebrate' their military/political achievements. Now is the time for inner celebrations, but also calm and strength of mind.

The threat still exists and the flames will be fanned by this action. We need to show a determined sense of calm and an even more increased effort and pressure to crush the terrorist movements and enable absolute freedom to flourish.

Confianza y esperanza, son mis sentimientos ahora.

Trust and hope , are my feelings now.

I trust that wise heads will prevail on both sides , and hope that this will lead

to peace for the Christian and Islamic world , and that they realise that

the time has come to put aside hatred and learn to love and appreciate

all our differences . We have much to offer, much to gain , but everything

to lose if we do not start to love one another.
