Just heard this use in My name is Earl. Is it common in Mexico, or just Spain, or something you might hear in movies etc...? Gracias.

I haven't watched My name is Earl for quite a while, but "cargar" means to load, and by extension, any unpleasant thing. In Mexico (if I'm not mistaken) it is a word used when people go with the most successful one, only for their own profit.
