¨Relax¨ song lyrics

Hello Amigos, I´m working to understand the lyrics of ¨Relax,¨ a song I like my the Mexican band Maná. Here are the first two verses. Any help appreciated with the questions below.

Questions..

¨Borde¨ and ¨filo¨ of a knife seem to both translate as ¨edge.¨ I live on the edge and the edge of a knife, (?)

¨Pero by Dios en mi tierra nadie se raja.¨ But by God in my country nobody is cracked (?) Not sure what ¨rajar¨ means here.

Picture....on the edge of a knife blade hanging off the tip (edge) of the knife.

But thank God in my world (land) nobody cut's out (chickens out).

I did some digging, I believe "rajarse" means bails-out, chickens-out, gives up, surrenders...etc
