Latin Spanish

I was just flipping by my exercise book when a question popped into my mind. Beside some Spanish translations, it says LAm, and Mex. I know it means Latin Spanish and Mexican Spanish, but what is the difference. Thanks!!

Many words are specific to a certain region or country. Some words can mean different things in different areas. In this case, it's simply noting a distinction that that particular word is used differently in Mexico as opposed to the rest of Latin America.
