Women, Which "D" Applies?

Devoted or Devious.

I was invited by some friends to play golf at the beginning of May of this year. Only a few days, 1st to the 6th, in Ayamonte near Huelva. They invited me sometime during January this year. At the time I didn't particularly fancy it as we have quite a few holidays booked this year and like a good husband, I was considering the family's finances.

To my surprise, Joyce my wife, said why not go? Forget the money. She then kept on about hard I worked and how I needed some guy time until I finally relented. I thought this woman is so devoted to me, what a wife.

Shortly after this, Joyce told me that one of my daughter's friends, who unfortunately lost her husband to cancer last year, had asked if she would accompany her on a one week holiday to one of the Canary Islands. This "D" above in my thread looks very much like devious now. She assures me that her invite was way after mine. How could I now refuse having decided to golf in Spain.

The last week she has been walking around with a bigger grin on her face each day as the 1st May approaches. I just can't help feeling I have been had. Has anyone out there had a similar situation happen to them and do you think it is right that women should be so calculating.

So, so sad.

I was expecting a mountain of posts, particularly from our gentler sex members, sympathising with me and offering some sort of solace, especially as Joyce has behaved so deviously. Girls, I am quickly loosing faith and I am at this moment just departing for the airport with a heavy heart. Here's hoping all that golf and drinking will raise my sprits.

Well it seems like you can go have a great time playing golf and be happy that your wife is also enjoying herself on her holiday, or you can sit and stew, feel sorry for yourself and work up a real good mad at your wife that could really do some damage. Now which do you think would be the best course to take?

Eddy, I do sympathize....really I do. I don't think it is a matter of whether men or women are more cunning. However, there is always one partner in every marriage who seems to out maneuver the other. In our house, it is my crafty but lovable husband who always has an angle.

You just have to learn how to play the game!!!!
