There are several ways just as there are in English. (What's up? What's going on?...)

¿Qué tal?

¿Cómo va?

¿Qué pasa?

¿Cómo andas?

and probably a hundred more.

"¿Qué hay de nuevo?" means "What's new?" or "What's up?"
