Si tienes que hablar mal de otra persona, no lo digas, escríbelo en la arena cerca de la orilla.

If you must speak ill of another, do not speak it, write it in the sand near the water's edge.

Dame un billete de avión, no tengo el tiempo para tomar un ferrocarril rápido. Los días de soledad han pasado, me voy a mi casa. Mi amor me ha escrito una carta.

Give me a ticket for an airplane, I don't have time to take a fast train. The lonely days are past, I am going to my home. My baby wrote me a letter.

I remember the lyrics go, "lonely days are gone..." - pesta, Apr 30, 2011
I know, but I had trouble with that part of the translation. I improvised a little. Like with my baby, she wrote me a letter. I couldn't translate that right, so I used amor..not quite the same. - sanlee, Apr 30, 2011

This is poetry and it's difficult to correct: but I'd say' Escribo palabras "inmerso" en el néctar del amor'. Good, Ray! :) - cogumela, Apr 30, 2011
Thank you my dear friend, yes you are correct it is so very hard to convey a feeling that one is using in a poetic sense , so once again i am in your debt. - ray76, Apr 30, 2011

Cuando era joven, si escribía a mano, los maestros siempre se quejaban de mi caligrafia. Hoy, no ha mejorado. Gracias a Dios por las computadoras.

When I was in school, if I wrote my hand, teachers always complained about my handriting. Today, it is not better. Thank God for computers.

Muchísimas gracias por todas las correcciones.

My question was, is it proper to use the conjugated word of the day after a noun or should I have used the adjective? But Qfreed kindly answered my question. smile Thank you. smile

It should be the adjective (past participle) la poesía escrita por (or else ...la poesía que fue escrita por...) - 0074b507, Apr 30, 2011
I did not realize that the past participle made the adjective. Cool, I can edit and still be right with the word of the day ;) Thanks Q :) - EL_MAG0, Apr 30, 2011
"se inspiraban" - Deanski, Apr 30, 2011
your right Thank you ;) - EL_MAG0, Apr 30, 2011
..."están inspiradas en" la poesía escrita por Fher, el cantante principal. In any case it should be " se inspiraron en" Well done, amor! :) - cogumela, Apr 30, 2011
I should think more when correcting, because I usually take what's written as it is and just correct the subject-verb agreements. Hmmm.. - Deanski, Apr 30, 2011
I hope it's all right now. It reads much better since Cogumela fixed it. ;) Muchísimas gracias a Laura y todos ;) - EL_MAG0, Apr 30, 2011
