Conforme = As?
I just came across this phrase -
"Conforme vas vagando ...."
I'm guessing it means "As you wander about ...." or something similar.
How does 'conforme' work here? Can it mean 'as'?

That is one valid use for conforme, yes:
- loc. prepos. Con arreglo a, a tenor de, en proporción o correspondencia a, de la misma suerte o manera que. Conforme a derecho, a lo prescrito, a lo que anoche determinamos. Se te pagará conforme a lo que trabajes.

Hi MC, I'm reading a book about mountain-climbing in the Andes, and this word threw me too at first, it's used a lot as in sentences like this:
"As we climbed higher, the cloud cover increased."
I've just been trying to find you an example but my morning eyes just aren't finding it. ![]()
I think you're right, it seems to work well with the translation 'as' - like 'while'.
I've Googled it and found it used here in a sentence which suggests that we are understanding it correctly.
