No, porque no se está escuchando a una persona. Example: Decimos "escuchar un sonido" y "escuchar a Michael". When we are listening to person, we add the prepposition "a". Saludos. - carlomp, Apr 28, 2011

Saying "era interesante" gives the idea that's something else hanging around, like "era interesante, pero.....". "Fue interesante", on the other side, gives the idea that you listened it all and liked it. - 00e657d4, Apr 28, 2011

Hi billygoat,

Os (explained here ) and the other pronouns/personal pronouns can be added to the end of a verb in the infinitive or the Past Participle, so what you are seeing with ayudaros is the verb ayudar (infinitive) with os attached. It could also be said like this, I think:

Espero poderos ayudar - however it seems more common to add it to the end of the second verb in infinitive.

How about this:

"Estuve escuchando tu entrevista. Me pareció (muy) interesante."

More literal: "Escuché tu entrevista. Fue interesante."

Maybe "Escuchaba tu entrevista y pensaba que era interesante." (I listened to your interview, and I thought that it was interesting)

Hi, I'm a spanish beginner. Could you please explain the word 'ayudaros'. I'm sure it means 'to help or to help you' but I cant find it in the dictionary - its the 'os' ending that is confusing me.
