Is "central time zone" (for example, for Arkansas) translated as "tiempo del centro" ? Gracias.

If I hear that I would think you are talking about the weather. I would say "zona horaria central" or "zona horaria del centro".

When speaking with people from different countries, you need to keep in mind that their circumstances are different. Most Spanish speaking countries lie in a single time zone (although Mexico has three and one of them is, indeed, called ¨central¨). Presumably, you mean CST for the U.S.
