"son las seis de la manana"?
Hello! I have a new question today and i hope you can help me with it. Today i learned how to tell the time. for example for 6 Oclock i need to say: "Son las seis". But it doesnt make any sense. beacuase litterly i am saying: "there are six"right?

I agree with Dakie.
In English we say "6 o'clock".
Which comes from "6 of the clock".
Put that into Spanish and it makes no sense either.
"there are six"
Actually, this would be "Hay seis."
"Son las seis." would be "They are six." (The hours are six.)
Not really:
there are six = hay seis.
"Son las seis" could be translated as: They are the six, obviously that doesn't make any sense talking about the time, however you will see that when you are learning other language, many things don't have to make sense, that's why it's other language.
