The goal of this assignment is that you repeat the sentence answering using a direct object pronoun in place of the respective direct object noun in the question. The example answer shows the two possible options for placing the d.o.p. in front of the verb or to attach it to the verb.

The 2nd assignment demonstrates how you can use the present tense or present progressive tense interchangebly depending on whether you wish to emphasize currect actions. All you need to do is properly conjugate the verb, choosing between ser and estar (or as part of the progressive present tense), or the given verb for the subjects presented.

In the first part of the sentence, you must use the present tense rather than the present progressive tense because it is not referring the a verb action that is currently taking place. In the second part you use the present progressive tense because it is referring to a verb action that is currently happening. Both verbs need to be properly conjugated.
