A quick question about reputation.

Question

I know the most you can get in a day is 200, but I haven't reached that limit yet, and I haven't received any more reputation, when I should have. (At least I think I should have.) What's going on?

• You earned 0 rep for being voted up on an answer to ...

• You earned 0 rep for being voted up on an answer to ...

• You earned 0 rep for voting up an answer to ...
• You earned 0 rep for being voted up on an answer to ...
• You earned 0 rep for being voted up on an answer to ...

** The above examples are all different instances, even though, I know, they just look like the same thing posted 5 times.

It's because there's a limit to how much rep you can earn in 10 minutes, and a limit to how much you can earn each day by voting up answers. Otherwise, everyone would just go around voting up people's crappy answers just to get rep points. Try only voting up five or six answers every 5 minutes and you should be fine. Vote up if you like my answer!

Masquenada, when I look at your reputation, you just started collecting reputation points 21 hours ago, and you have already hit your 24 hour limit of 200 points. You will be able to start collecting more soon...

You can also only get a total of 10 points in 24 hours by voting other people up...
