La conozco y Lo conozco is the correct grammar accepted by the royal spanish academy.
But, in some regions of some spanish speaking languages it's common to hear "le conozco", that is called "leísmo".
Thanks for your replies, I had always been confused with these types of verbs such as conocer. I will go with the RAE methodology, as technically it seems to be the most correct.
It has always been difficult to remember which pronoun to use so I made a one page worksheet with a pronoun table to help me and I will share with you.
"Conocer" is a transitive verb, and the RAE would recommend that you say "lo/la". However, "leísmo" (le conozco) with verbs like this or mirar, ver, and buscar have been so widely used by educated people and famous writers, that it makes no sense to say that many million of people with an excellent command of the language can't speak it well, even if they go against the mainstream. With the previously mentioned verbs and others, this is not an isolated incident: it has been happening for over 300 years, so it is not just a temporary distortion of the language, but a trend that has been the norm in certain areas for quite some time now.
Again, the RAE does not recommend "le" with this verb (and I can give you a quote from, if you want), even though it does not say it is wrong.
