:::updated::: Losing part of your family, my baby cat has died:(
This was going to be a party, I just returned from Tenerife and dived and seem to be getting some photos and all....but I entered the flat and Rufino was missing....my baby cat, he was only 7.
This sense of loss and crying my eyes out can only be understood by animal owners. Animals become part of your family and I don't think you can understand the deep sorrow you feel when this part of your family dies, and if you are not there to hold the baby ....that is even worse.
As it appears he got struck and smashed by a door...we don't really know. He died in pain and his mum was not there to hold him. I am so sad.
This was Rufino, my big black cat is screaming, he does not understand. Neither do I.
I decided to get moving, I could not bear my blacky's screams....so I found him a tiny baby bro in record time, his name is Celestino
He sniffed him and decided not even to hiss at the tiny fellow, both are happy

I'm sorry for your loss Heidi. I have two cats and though they drive me, personally, up a wall they have become a fixture within my home. I actually look forward to them coming up to me in the mornings before work, purring, and then going about their little prissy ways with their tails in the air. Cats do what they want when they want to do it. I hope all is starting to settle down for you and if it hasn't it will, I'm sure.

Oh, honey, we are all so very sorry for your tremendous loss. You baby kitty will be very missed and now will be playing in kitty heaven.
I'm so sorry to hear this, I've lost a few pets over the years, and it is a heart-wrenching experience. I wish you well and hope that your heart heals.

I know how it feels. I know you can't grade deaths but immediate ones are most harrowing. I lost my favourite black oldie this winter. Lo siento mucho por tu perdida :(

I am so so sorry to hear about your loss - I know people will say it's just a cat, or it's just a dog, but it really does take a pet owner to understand how much they become part of your family, and your day-to-day routine....and they really to cease being pets.
I really dread the day that either of my dogs go....I'm already sad for that day....

Sorry to hear about the loss of one of your beloved pets. I know how you feel though as my avatar photo is of our "Sammy" whom we lost last year.
You already know how sorry I am to hear about it Heidi. As a pet owner I know the pain. I may not be a cat person but I feel for him anyway, no animal deserves pain. Hang in there.

I lost my dog, Buddy, in November. I still call his name when I come back home after being away. There are so many ways I remember him.
Pets that you love are never forgotten. It hurts to lose them, but only because you loved them so much.
