Chat service/Servicio de chat

Question

Hi,

I'm new to the site and registered only a day ago. I try and go on the chat to talk to people but after a few seconds, the site kicks me off and returns me to the page I was previously viewing.

Why is this?

Soy miembro nuevo y me resgistré ayer. Pruebo acceder el servicio de chat pero tras pasar unos segundos en el chat, el sitio de web me pone al página anterior.

I don't think that rep points would prevent a person being able to access the Spanish Dict chatroom but not being registered on Spanishdict would be a problem. In otherwords you need to have filled out part of your profile details eg name, sex,(gender) language

To be honest it could be that your browser is blocking your access to the chatroom. Which online browser are you using, please? People here, including myself, have experienced difficulties being able to access and benefit from the full services this site offers while using Iternet Explorer. You could try Google Chrome or Firefox

Another possibility is that your java settings may not be set properly or you may not have the most up to date java

For problems like these it's a good idea to search the forum. Click on the Answer tab above and look for the search box just above where the question titles start. One thing I can suggest is it might be because you didn't have any reputation points.
