I would have said: Could humans survive if dinosaurs still existed? - --Jen--, Apr 22, 2011
or humans and dinosaurs - dc-alien-z, Apr 22, 2011
Those fearful animals can be ancestors of humans :) - Fidalgo, Apr 22, 2011
Of course, humans could survive if dinosaurs still existed - but they probably wouldn't (the dinosaurs, that is) --- like the woolly mammoths. - Lector_Constante, Apr 22, 2011
But would dinosaurs be Nazis? - Leatha, Apr 22, 2011

Beauty exists... and I agree with Lector "...as beautiful or ugly." Also the conjunction "and" would connect the sentences since both can stand alone. - foxluv, Apr 22, 2011

So Spanish, like English, exist=live for living things; ¿living things cease to exist when they die? (language-wise, not philosophical or religious usage) - Lector_Constante, Apr 22, 2011

No existe.

It does not exist.
We don't have any.

This is what I was told when I went into a grocery store in Madrid and asked where the organic produce was ("¿Donde está las verduras organicas?") I was told, "No existe." This seems curious to me, because they do exist, the store just does not carry them. In English we would say, "We don't have them." It seemed a dramatic choice of words, but I heard it often.

Here is a picture that proves that no matter what the produce manager in the grocery store in Madrid says, organic produce does indeed exist.

no need for personal *a* - Deanski, Apr 22, 2011
If "a" goes before "God" then the noun should not be capitalized (putting "a" there means "Do you think some/any god exists" -not quite the same thing) - Lector_Constante, Apr 22, 2011
