Do you find the flashcards helpful?
I have been doing a few flashcards sets, and have learned quite a few new words by seeing them repeated on different sets. It took me about five times seeing the word ahorrar to finally learn it meant to save.
My internet is so poor that on the listen portion often no word is heard. I also have had some pretty good laughs at some of the things I have seen there.
My reading comprehension has improved dramatically from using them as well.
Has anyone found them useful? I don't know how many user sets there are, but I know it is more than 3300 pages.

They help me Dave and as an extra help I record myself reading them and put it on an MP3 player to listen to on the way to work.
The flashcards help keep me motivated and interested in learning Spanish. I love them. I even enjoyed doing the flashcard set called " impossible". I'm doing sets back 1350 pages, but you say there are 3300 pages. I have a ways to go!

Yes!
Like AmyKay, I have slacked off lately but I found flashcards to be very useful...crucial, really...to building a large vocabulary.
When I'm doing well, which means studying Spanish regularly, I will make a pack of 25 cards a week to leave by my bedside. I read them first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
I find lots of new vocabulary words from things around me. I will try to explain my situation to myself, e.g,. I'm walking down the street and see a mailbox, and if I don't know a word in Spanish that word goes on a flashcard. I also read the news in Spanish and English (trying to translate to Spanish) to get more advanced vocabulary.
The flash cards are very helpful, but watch out for typos and outright errors. You know your vocabulary is improving when you can spot these! But until you can see the mistakes, stick to sets my trusted users.
I am a big fan of the flashcards. I am creating flashcards of all the verbs I encounter. I put 25 in a set and print them out.
I wish there was an easy way to print the flashcards from the lessons, but it doesn't look like it is possible unless someone creates a set for each lesson. Most of the lessons in Lesson 1 have been covered. I recently made a set for lesson 2.1 and I will be creating sets for all the lessons in Lesson 2 as I get to them.
My greatest fear is that I might create a set of cards with an error in it so if you see any errors in my sets, please PM me and let me know so I can correct them.
They seem to work for a lot of people, so I tried them, but they didn't really work for me, so I changed to other methods of vocabulary expansion. Reading and seeing words used in context seems to work best for me.
I think that flashcards are my favorite thing on the site after the forum.
I'm not as disciplined as I was, but they really help build vocabulary. Vocabulary is the key to comprehension. For a long time I struggled because in every sentence was one or two words I had never seen. Those words were the key unlock the door to the meaning in that sentence.
I have found that even if I can't remember a word to use it to speak, the flashcards expose me to a lot of words in a short amount of time and my subconscious often comes to my rescue and I remember the general gist of a word, thereby opening up the meaning of the sentence when I need it.
Yes, I use the flashcards to study. I am putting my whole Spanish textbook on flashcards. I hope that it helps others and if anyone finds any errors in my cards, please don't hesitate to send me a PM. Thanks
I love the flash cards , except I find it impossible to do the typing bizzo
I am a one finger fumbler and at the end of the set I get a fantastic score of( 3)
which is not a good look for the ego . I like the idea that Yeser007 has I may
give that a go .
I find them useful. I've been through many of the public sets, and use a whole bunch of private sets to help me retain words I don't come across regularly. I probably have 25 private sets at this point.
I think the flashcards are a great learning tool, I've slacked off doing them a bit, I need to get back into it.
Yes they have helped me a lot but I wish there were other games to play to help us learn more.
