"Como saltar sin red"

Como saltar sin red How should this be translated? I've put together the words, but that doesn't make much sense to me.

The context is a love song, where the singer is asking his lover to come back to him.

Felix, don't you think it could be "like jumping without a net" (taking a chance)? After all, love is often a leap of faith.

I obviously don't know the song but if a women is expressing the phrase the net could relate to commitment or assurance.
