When would you use dentro instead of adentro?

a is a preposition that is added to "outside" and "inside" when they are destinations. When they are not destinations, a is not used.

Me voy afuera.

Pon el pan adentro de la estufa.

Estoy fuera.

El pan está dentro de la estufa.

adentros plural masculine noun
