I would like to use this as a connective in my spanish speaking to go on to mention how I would like there to be more sports facilities in my area. Thanks.

Hi, Robert. Welcome to the forum.

You'd have to give us more of your speech to give you a really accurate answer.

However, I would like.... = Sin embargo, me gustaría.....

Thanks for the reply Mariana. I was thinking of saying 'as i have mentioned, there are many sports centres in my area. However, saying that, i would like there to be another swimming pool. As at the moment, the public swimming pool is very crowded'. - RobertAW, Apr 20, 2011

When you say however, it would be redundant to add saying that.

Our dictionary at the top of the page works fine for however. I don't know if saying that is idiomatic Spanish. Someone more advanced will be more helpful.

Sin embargo, decir esto/eso ...

Depends on context too.
