A more exact translation could be: "Me gustaría agradecerle a alguien por recordarme sobre la cita."

Is is a doctor's appointment, though? Because then you could also say "Hora" instead of "Cita".

I've made/got an appointment with the doctor -> he pedido/tengo hora con el médico or she didn't keep the appointment -> faltó a la cita.
