Conocerse al tiempo

Alguien podria ayudarme por favor?. Creo que se puede traducir la frase abajo así:

We knew each other some time ago.

La frase en cuestión:

Nos conocimos al tiempo.

¿es verdad?

Without more context I can only guess.

I don't think that it means "some time ago", but more:

"al (poco) tiempo de..." : We met shortly after ...

Although it also could be:

"al (mismo) tiempo": We met at the same time

It's a sentence in the lyrics of a song from La Oreja de Van Gogh (La Playa). I thought maybe it was an error in the lyrics on that site, but apparently all sites agree on this specific line in the lyrics. It is definitely Nos conocimos al tiempo.

Para mi la frase en español significa que otra persona y yo nos conocimos tiempo después de haber sabido de la existencia de la otra perosna. Por lo tanto yo lo traduciría como : We met some time after that (moment)

Yo creo que es "a la vez". In the same time=al tiempo. Saludos desde Madrid.
