Can "eso creo" mean, is that so?

He says "Voy a decirte adiós". And the other looks at him with a raised eyebrow and says "eso creo"..... (he's not gonna get away that easily)

So, can it mean "is that so?" or "oh yeah buddy?" type deal? Gracias

hi

"eso creo" mainly means " I think/believe so". in such situation that someone says: "voy a decirte adiós = i 'm going to say goodbay (I want to go)" and the next person say "eso creo = I thinks so", this sentence (I think so) in fact means "I also am thinking of your going (mean: it 's better to go/ it 's good idea/ good for you to go ...).

It´s more like saying "Yeah, right" or even the direct translation "Yeah, I believe that," but you have the right idea.

And of course "eso creo" in a non-cynical manner means "I think so."
