¿cómo se dice "it is you who makes my day"?
eres tú quien hace (haga) mi día - I know that probably sounds so rusty. Tú eres el que hace mi día .
Thanks in advance....................... ![]()

In Spanish we don't make days; days make themselves, apparently. Think of it seriously. Can you not tell that it is an idiomatic expression? Make my day what? Good? Bad? There is no logical reason why it should have such a positive connotations, so in other languages it will make no sense, or it could easily mean something completely different.
make my day = alegrarme el día
Some possibilities:
Eres tú el que me alegra el día
Eres tú el que me ha alegrado el día
Eres tú el que me alegró el día
Also, Eres tú quien me...
hola amigos,
contrary to the opinion of some other friends, the idioma "to make one 's day" is meaningful and do sense.
it means "to give great pleasure". "make" here mainly means "to cause sth in/for sb" or "to secure successes/pleasure in" and others.
so, "you make my day", at least, means "you cause/give pleasure in may day/life" ¨ therefore, we probably say for "it is you who maks my day" "Eres tú el que asegura alegría en mi día/vida".
I have seen something like, Eres tú quien me alegras el día.
Yes, that's correct, eres tú quien hace mi día, and at least to me it sounds ok.
