Alijos-(Caches or Contraband)?

Hermosilla-(Beautiful or Non-existant word)?

Baranquilla (Non-existant)?

'Ta bien (abbreviation or non-existant)?

Putumayo (Non-existant)?

In advance (en avance, de antemano, or por adelantado)?

Gracias!!!!!

Kiersten, please do not delete items from your question once you have got an answer. It makes a nonsense of the thread. I nearly deleted Bella's post because it didn't appear to answer your question. - Eddy, Apr 16, 2011

alijo

masculino (de contrabando) consignment.

un importante alijo de armas - a sizable arms cache.

un alijo de hachís - a consignment of hashis.

Putumayo is a department of Colombia. It is in the south-west of the country, bordering Ecuador and Peru. Its capital is Mocoa.

The word putumayo comes from the Quechua language. The verb putuy means "to spring forth" or "to burst out", and mayo is a variant of mayu, meaning river. Thus it means "gushing river".

I believe "en avance" is fast in French.
