Good site for extra Spanish practice

Obviously as a user of this site, this will always be my Spanish online home wink

However, if you're looking for extra things to do, I recommend link text, on which you can complete an interactive series that will aid you with speaking a bit of basic Spanish to help with travel, etc. It is very basic stuff, but I used it before an oral examination in Spanish to help me practice listening to Spanish and understanding it, and I think it helped me a lot! Also, it's a lot of fun - I've done it 3 times through.

For intermediate Spanish learners, there's a stack of other things, most of which can be found link text.

Hopefully this is helpful for some of you! Feel free to post any other useful sites you've found!

Busuu.com is great also for English, Spanish, Russian, French, German and Italian practice.

I think 'News in slow spanish' is great too, but the free content is very limited.

About.com always has good spanish articles on grammar and the likes.

Some people find livemocha good too, personally I don't like the layout.

Series Yonkis is good for spanish t.v as it has "Friends" and other dubbed programs that are easy enough to understand.

Tv shack is the equivalent for those of you looking to watch English movies and t.v shows.

Yeah, I used livemocha for a bit but it wasn't really my thing either. Thanks for the suggestions! :) - aboutagirl, Apr 17, 2011

If you want to 'practice' like the title mentioned, there is a new site where you can practice on some difficult stuff like: - verbs in all tenses - por and para - ser and estar - numbers in text - telling the time - opposites - idiomatic - and many more to come....

The site is not for those who want "to start learning".

Give it a try: www.e-learn-spanish.com

kind regards, Serge

Not that I can think of that's specifically for English, although it wouldn't surprise me if there was something on the BBC site, and I'm sure a google search would come up with lots you could try out :) - aboutagirl, Apr 17, 2011
However, that first link to the BBC mini interactive series has subtitles in both Spanish and English, so it'd probably be almost as useful for a Spanish speaking wishing to learn English! - aboutagirl, Apr 17, 2011
