Al + infinitive = ?
Hello friends! I see this often and am wondering what exactly it means. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 
Example: "Al caer la tarde y..."

A la mañana

Al amanecer
Notice that all of them use "a" with an article to locate an event in time, which is given by a noun (mañana, tarde,...) The last one appears in the dictionary as a noun, and as a verb, but bear in mind that in Spanish infinitives are like nouns, so these sentences are to be expected:
Al comer
Al terminar
Al hablar
Al is often translated as "upon" depending on context. [it can also be ...to the...voy al cine.]
In your example it is Upon.
