Help with a poem!

Hi everyone! I'm trying to write a poem in spanish and I need a little help. I'm trying to say "to express yourself" but the problem is "se expresar" is only four syllables and I need something with five. I was thinking "se manifestar" but I'm not sure if this has the same meaning. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Read a lot of Spanish poetry. That's the best way to start to get it. You're ideas to write "se expresar" or "se manifestar" are awkward to say the least. Sorry. "expresarse" or "manifestarse" is more likely to be what you're trying to say, but without more of your poem and more of your intent, its kinda hard to help.

Use all the artistic license you need to make the poem what you want it to be.Throw in a 'me' or a' lo' and change it up.Songs and poems do this ALL THE TIME.Have fun.
