Adverbs clauses
Please, could you tell me if this is OK?
When I was with my sister in my office five years ago, we suddenly heard a grinding noise. Realizing that all the place was dark, we quickly pulled over to the side of the door. I looked for the light to turn on, we felt a lot afraid. Just then I opened the door because never did I find the light, son I met a beautiful baby.
It was five years ago, now the baby lives with my family and she is like my daughter. One day, while she was playing in the garden, she broke one leg, and we quickly ran to the hospital, but the beautiful baby lost her leg. Now the baby lives with us, and we trying of give her the best for her live and though she without her leg, she give us a lot of happiness.

I looked for the light switch; we felt very afraid. Just then I opened the door because I never did find the light switch; soon, I met a beautiful baby.
It was five years ago; now the baby lives with [me and] my family and she is like my daughter. One day while she was playing in the garden, she broke a leg. We quickly ran to the hospital, but the beautiful baby lost her leg. Now the baby lives with us, and we are trying to give her the best for her life. And even though she is without a leg, she gives us a lot of happiness.
