Spanish Selkie???

Helloooo I have to translate 2 traditional stories from 2 different cultures into Spanish and tell them to my class. I'm trying to tell an Irish selkie story, and I was wondering if there's a Spanish word for selkie? If not, I can certainly use 'selkie', but I was doing research on the origins of the story and it just seemed possible that there might be a Spanish word so I won't have to have that awkward language transition... Thanks!

Selkies, by the way, are special seals, and it's said when they lay on the rocks to sunbathe they shed their seal skins and a woman steps out.

Looking at this page ----> Ondine which is written in Spanish and is about the film "Ondine" you will see that the word "selkie' has not been translated but retains its English (Irish) spelling as "selkie".

That may give you some comfort to retain the non-Spanish spelling.
