What is the Spanish for a ''buttress root'?

Hi guys, I can't find this anywhere but I'm pretty sure it's a real word in English! Some tropical trees have these large roots coming out of the trunk like wings and reinforce the tree. For example ceiba trees if you want to look it up. If anyone could help me translate it that would be great!

Buttress root is raiz del contrafuerte, sometimes shortened to raiz contrafuerte.
