Ask a question at the end of the dictionary! Cool!
I like the ask a question box at the end of the information concerning a word. For instance I didn't know what the Spanish word for "last" was. I put in "last" in the SD dictionary and found lots of information. At the end is the "Ask a question" to get more help.
My question is it goes directly to the area to create the question. If it's something that's been asked several times does SD still want to go directly to the create a question area. Before we went into the search box on the Answer page to see if it had been answered before.
If this type of feedback is not okay, just send me a PM and I'll not bother you guys. You all are appreciated and I'll do my best to be patient as changes are made.

The theory is probably that you will see the same discussions whether you read them from the list at the bottom of the defintions or whether you use the Search Engine. That is why it is presented in the Forum Policies as an optional choice. I agree with you, however, that you will see more previous answers that may preclude you from asking a duplicate question by using the Search Engine. Since you can enter more keywords into the Search Engine you may find more related discussions that answer your questions than if you were limited to the dictionary's word search.

1. Look for an answer first
Search our dictionary and look through the definitions, examples, and idioms. Scroll down for a list of Questions already addressing that word in the Answers Forum, or use the Answers Forum's search box.
That's your choice. If you elect to just ask a question and it has been asked before, I am sure there are plenty of members here to point this out to you. The "ask a question box" is generated for you as a shortcut so just go ahead and use it. If you wish you can do a search test first, but hey, don't worry about it and just enjoy the site.
